INTERSECTION

For this project our assignment was to design a container for a special object using paper, fabric, and thread of our choice. The object I chose was a dove. I think of doves as representing peace. My first model was to create an environment where peace resides.

I was given the suggestion to design something a little less literal. For my final model, I created a "paper mache" egg shaped container weaving strips of paper and fabric leaving peek holes for light to shine through. The dove is suspended in the center using thread.
