New Life.

For Environmental Design I - IAR 101 - 01 class we were given the assignment to find two natural artifacts and attach them using a linear material such as thread, rubber band, paper clip ect. For my two objects I chose a short bamboo stick and a pine cone. The pine cone to me looked like something dead and lifeless, but in fact it is the thing that carries the seeds from which comes life. I attached the bamboo stick which resembled a "small tree" to the pine cone using brown thread to resemble roots coming out of the plant and into the pine cone. The pine cone then acted as the "soil" for this new life to grow out of.
