This past week's project was to design a 4" x 4" x 4" cube using Bristol board. Then we were to take the cube and elevate it 4" above an 8" square base using plastic drinking straws.
My first model was very simple. I wanted the straws to be the joint that connected the pieces of bristol board.
After the first critique, I got an inspiration to model my cube similar to a boxed kite. This is my second model.
After a little time of trial and error.
After another critique I turned the smaller box over so that the detail could be seen. Below is my final model.
